Who We Are
Throughout more than 50 years of ministering God's Word, we at Temple Heights have learned the value of living the life of a Christian. We are a community of believers, and we encourage our people to represent Christ to others and share His love without fear. We desire everyone to be encouraged and made to feel at home when they join us in worship. God's unconditional love is always available to us, and we extend that love to you.
At Temple Heights, the Word of God is our text and guidebook for daily living; therefore, each message you hear from the pulpit comes directly from the Bible. We encourage our members and visitors to bring their own Bibles, so they can encounter God's unconditional love first-hand.
Joining the THBC Family
In the New Testament, the local church is a body of baptized believers. We invite you to join us in
this strong tradition by becoming a member of the church body at Temple Heights Baptist Church. There
are three ways by which to make this step:
By Profession of Faith and Baptism. You choose to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord
and Savior and make a public profession of faith by following Him in baptism.
By Letter. As a member of a Baptist church elsewhere, we will gladly handle the details of
transferring your membership.
By Statement. If you have previously made a public profession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
and have followed Him in baptism, we will gladly accept you on your statement.
If this is where the Lord is calling you to grow in your faith and serve in his grace, we welcome you
to join our church. Personal workers are available at the close of every service during the singing of
the final hymn and invitational, and you need only approach one of them to share your decision or discuss
any other needs you may have with which we can assist.
We are here to grow in Christ's love as a unified
